Audio-Technica products have provided seamless audio coverage and technical support in U.S. presidential debates since 1988 and at high-profile sports broadcasts, including World Cup Soccer, the Super Bowl, and
the Commonwealth Games, the Summer Games in Beijing (2008), Athens (2004), Sydney (2000), and Atlanta (1996), and the Winter Games in Torino (2006).
Winner of numerous industry awards, Audio-Technica is a global player with valued exclusive clients around the world. In Europe Audio-Technica has 2 distribution companies (UK & Germany), with a solid and exclusive european distribution network developed in approximately 30 countries. Given the current and continued growth opportunities within this European market, Audio-Technica has decided to create a new position within the European sales team for an Area Sales Manager (M/F).
This position can be home-based.

Mission
Reporting to the European Sales Director, you will be responsible for the management and development of an existing portfolio of exclusive distributors across 10 European countries. The existing relationships are very strong and based on long-term trust and dual commercial success.
As an Area Sales Manager you will :
• Develop each territory in all market segments, ensuring that annual targets are met.
• Continually monitor and assess each distributor (quality of service, delivery, credibility, etc…)
• Follow distributor activities and proactively action and report internally
• Generate coherent market savvy for each country, understanding competitors and the commercial culture
• Participate in distribution change, identify & evaluate new distributors in collaboration with management
• Attend international trade shows as necessary
• Develop innovative proposals, creating a win-win relationship with the exclusive distributors
• Coordinate with all relevant Audio-Technica departments : Sales admin, marketing, warehouse...
Profile
• University educated with previous experience &/or familiarity with Technical Products
• Solid commercial experience post-degree, with a proven track record in key accounts management
• Strong ability to talk the technical “language” & be credible internally, as well as externally
• Excellent linguistic capabilities in English, plus another language is definitely an advantage
• An affinity for figures and the ability to quickly learn the Audio-Technica business
• Ability to work autonomously and an openness to mobility (40% - 50% international travel)
An excellent communicator, analytical & tenacious, you have strong interpersonal skills, and an excellent ability to create and nurture strong client relationships. Commercially enthusiastic, dynamic & driven, you are passionate about the industry & the products, with a strong ability to transform this passion into real revenue growth initiatives. Inter-culturally sensitive, open-minded and mature, you are diplomatic and someone with lots of integrity.
