Innovation is a key success factor for the Manitowoc group. Taking initiative and proposing ideas is very welcome. The EMEA Cranes division headquarters, based in Ecully in France has developed a new international design center and centre of excellence for Tower Cranes. This organization will enable talented engineers and specialists to work together on truly international projects with their homologues in China, in the US, and in Germany.
Due to an increase in new projects within this new organization, Manitowoc Cranes EMEA has opened up 2 new positions for SYSTEMS ARCHITECT ENGINEERS within the Design Centre team for Tower Cranes, based in Ecully, (Rhone Alpes region), France.

Mission
The System Architect Engineer proposes and develops innovative concepts for the Tower Crane product lines.
Main responsibilities :
- Resolve problems through an “out of the box” approach
- Manage the concepts, in order to prove feasibility, provide necessary assistance to commercialize the concept.
- Interface with sales organization and global marketing and participate in VOC interviews.
- Interface with third party partners as well as universities, necessary to develop the new concepts.
- Understand the international competition and know their strengths and weaknesses.
- Participate on international trade shows to observe and analyze the competitors’ products.
- Go on "rhe field" as much as possible to grasp a better understanding of Manitowoc, its products and the competitors products.
- Suggest and develop improvement ideas.
Profile
- Excellent university degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Structural, Industrial ...)
- At least 8 years professional experience in tower cranes (new product development, product innovation…)
- Proven success in Tower Cranes
- Capacity to identify problems on ones own and the intellectual independant capacity and personality to convince a matrix organization
- Ability to listen and understand the clients and to propose good ideas.
- Ability to work with transversal teams on transversal projects
- Excellent linguistic ability in English and ability to communicate in French
- Open to mobility
