The EMEA Cranes division headquarters, based in Ecully in France has developed a new international design center and centre of excellence for Tower Cranes. This organization will enable talented engineers and specialists to work together on truly international projects with their homologues in China, in the US, and in Germany.
Due to an increase in new projects within this new organization, Manitowoc Cranes EMEA has opened up 2 new positions for IPD Project Managers within the Tower Cranes Design Centre team based in Ecully, (Rhone-Alpes region) in France.

Mission
Reporting to the senior manager of New Product Development, the IPD Managers will be responsible for providing functional leadership, guidance and technical supervision to all engineers working on a given project.
Main responsibilities :
- Direct design efforts IPD projects for low cost manufacturing methods by effectively using the capabilities of the Manufacturing Engineering and Purchasing Departments
- Lead engineers in the execution of the IPD process
- Execute the procedures for monitoring projects such as preparation of records, of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences, in order to inform management of current status
- Coordinate project resource requirement with the local COE (center of excellence) leads
- Evaluate progress and accomplishments of IPD projects and determine feasibility of achieving established objectives, within planned time frame
- Report on progress, abnormalities in the engineering workload, major unresolved engineering design problems, and highlights of prototype product performance
Profile
- Excellent university degree in Mechanical, Structrural, Industrial Engineering, with a keen interest in lifting solutions.
- 5 years experience in complex product design with preference for experience in in tower cranes
- Ability to overview a large system, as a multi-axled machine.
- Proven experience working in a team & coordinating complex transversal projects
- Excellent linguistic ability in English and ability to communicate in French.
- Open to mobility
